What Long Story does

Long Story (longstory.site) turns a topic into long-form videos: scripts, AI narration, scene images, and rendered video files. This policy explains what data we collect to provide that service and how we handle it.

Data we collect

• Account data: your email address and sign-in identifiers (via Firebase Authentication with email/password or Google Sign-In).
• Content you create: scripts, voiceovers, images, and videos you generate. Generated media files are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after 7 days.
• Voice samples: if you use voice cloning, the audio sample you upload is stored temporarily (7-day auto-delete) and used only to generate the narration you request. You must own or have rights to any voice you clone.
• YouTube connection (optional): if you connect a YouTube channel, we store an OAuth refresh token and basic channel details (name, ID, thumbnail) so we can upload videos you explicitly ask us to publish.

YouTube API Services

Long Story uses YouTube API Services to let you connect your channel and upload videos you choose to publish. By using this feature you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

• We request the youtube.upload and youtube.readonly scopes, used only to upload videos on your instruction and display your channel name in the app.
• We never read your private YouTube data beyond basic channel info, never post, comment, delete, or modify anything without your explicit action.
• Your OAuth token is stored securely, is accessible only to your account, and is deleted immediately when you click Disconnect.
• You can also revoke Long Story's access at any time via Google security settings.

How your data is processed

Script text is processed by large-language-model providers; narration and images are generated on GPU servers we operate on cloud infrastructure; media is stored on Cloudflare R2. We share data with these processors only as needed to generate the content you request, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Retention & deletion

Generated media auto-deletes after 7 days. Project records remain in your account until you delete them. You can delete any project, disconnect YouTube, or request full account deletion at any time by contacting us.
